About the kennel
Star of David was founded with one goal that still guides us today: to help advance the White Swiss Shepherd in Israel and internationally, while raising dogs that are beautiful, as healthy as responsible breeding can support, stable in temperament, and truly suited to family life. Behind every puppy stand careful parent selection, relevant health and DNA testing, deep breed knowledge, and personal guidance after the puppy goes home.
Beyond the breed's white, noble appearance, we focus on what matters most to a family: steady temperament, calm confidence, trainability, documented health, and clear information. Parents are screened with relevant health and DNA tests, and families receive explanations they can understand and share with their veterinarian.
Our breeding program was built with dogs imported to Israel from leading European kennels, with the ambition of raising White Swiss Shepherds in Israel at the highest international level. Over the years, Star of David descendants have joined families and breeders outside Israel, becoming ambassadors for the kennel and for responsible Israeli breeding.
Dana and Avi have lived this breed for many years, judge dogs in Israel and abroad, and are known in the White Swiss Shepherd community. Alongside the kennel, we also support the Facebook community for White Swiss Shepherds in Israel, a place for families and breed lovers to learn, ask questions, and get closer to the breed. Avi Costa was selected by the Israeli Shepherd Dog Club as the breed coordinator and certified to judge White Swiss Shepherds in official shows under the Israel Kennel Club. For families, that means guidance from people who understand structure, movement, health, temperament, and real puppy-to-home fit.
